Labels play a key role in Planarly. In other spreadsheets you can get away with never setting a label on a cell. And that is what has been holding spreadsheets back. In Planarly most of the functions and operators require cell labels as inputs. They won't work with cell addresses. But because of the importance of labels, Planarly has made them easy to add and remove.

Every cell in a Planarly sheet is made up of two parts: the label zone at the top and the function zone beneath it. They can both be edited directly in the cell or in the formula bar:

Access the label zone for the active cell by hitting TAB while in the function zone. TAB switches between label and function zones. You can also click in each zone to set the editing point.

Multiple labels can be added to any cell. Labels separated by commas can be added directly in a cell's label zone or in the label section on the left-hand side of the formula bar. Note that Planarly displays the labels in alphabetical order no matter what order you add them.

Removing labels is done the same way. Here one of the labels is deleted from within the cell.

That's all there is to working with labels. Start using them from the beginning and you will grow to appreciate interest and rate and term (not to mention #payments) and wonder why you put up with A14 and HW153 for so long.
